A Cowboy by birthright

On the way home from thanksgiving we stopped in Drummond MT to pick up some Christmas trees! We noticed some of Tom's cattle were wandering down the road! Dan called Tom and asked him what to do. He told him to just get them in the arena and He could take care of it when he came back home! Dallin just happened to have his cowboy boots on! So Dad enlisted his help with Dallin's first round up! As a mom I wondered if Dallin would be scared of the large animals with horns! But alas he is a Spencer! So with no fear or hesitation he helped Dan herd the bulls back into the arena! I guess he is a cowboy by birthright!!!

On the way home (and on the way there) from Thanksgiving we stopped and played with Grandma Kay! As always Kaylin is the greatest host and very patient (especially with a very car sick doggy, and two snoopy little girls)! Something is always cooking or smells great and no matter what time you arrive you just can’t go to bed because you love to just eat and talk ( We missed Grumpy (Grandpa John) for that when we came in! He was the worst for not going to bed to stay up and talk!!!)!
We were so excited to start celebrating Christmas! Grandma Kay let us help put up her Christmas tree (Dallin did say it was weird that her tree was born from a box! I have to say it was the easiest tree to put up!)! It was fun to put up the ornaments and lights! The house looked so festive!!! We also had fun listening to Grandma Kay play the guitar! It is fun for me to see where Daniel fell in love with the guitar! Both Ed and Kaylin play! And it is always fun to listen!!! We also had snow while we were there! It was a cold, beautiful day in Montana! I love the Holidays!! And Family!!
P.S. I have more pictures on my other camera. So please check back on this post again!

We also had a “# 2” Thanksgiving with the Spencer (Russell) side! Sarah and Drue did their annual Tradition of Hosting Thanksgiving for the Spencer’s at there home! Papa Ed and Grandma Jan came down to play with all of the grand kids and enjoy the great feast that Sarah and Drue always come up with!
They cousins had a Great time playing together and Emma kept asking to go back and live with Aunt Sarah! We also went crazy at Sarah’s house and decided that instead of just re-arranging her living room we would (in true Spencer’s of Spokane fashion) paint it the day before Thanksgiving! Jesse thought we ruined the whole room when the first roller of paint went up and it was fuchsia! Luckily they didn’t kick us out and after All Day painting, and Dan cutting in (painting the edges and trim in) it turned out great!!!
I Hope Sarah will invite us back next year!!! We had a great time snuggling up on the sectional and watching football and camp Jonas brothers (?) Dallin and Emma got their first experience of chickens and how they are mean! And Aliya and Macey learned …… Ok, well nothing. But we all learned that little girls at that age don’t always get along! Aubrey and Halley were great!!! And Dallin and Emma can’t wait to see them again (soon they said!)! All in all it was an awesome Thanksgiving!!!

**ThanksGiving # 1**

This year we headed do to Idaho for Thanksgiving! We had a great time with both families! Dan and I realized as we usually do that family is great and being around them is wonderful! We had two thanksgiving meals! The first at the Young’s side with Granny Grandpa Rachel and Isaac! It was great and Grandpa's homemade stuffing is to die for! Daniel made sure the potatoes were very whipped and I think everyone tasted them to make sure! The kids made a beautiful gingerbread house with grandpa. I'm sure they ate more then they put on (or maybe we ate more then they put on?)! Grandpa Also made the greatest face and realized turkey steam is HOT! Isaac snuggled and played with everyone. Dallin and he put puzzles together and I think shot a lot of people also?!? Rachel played the best game of hide and seeks ever! It is amazing how if your creative enough the kids may never find you! And yes she can fit in a dryer (these photo's have not been doctored!)! And Granny made everything sweeter and fatter (Especially me! (I am still fantasizing over the crab dip!!!!!))! We Missed Jacob! We thought of him often! And we had a small "hello" to Daniel and Mandi in Finland! Mandi ate wayyyyyy to much and had the cutest belly (Or maybe it's because she's pregnant? Who knows for sure!!)!! We had a great time playing and relaxing and especially eating!!!
