Pumpkin Patch!

Emma's preschool goes up to Greenbluff every year for a walk through the apple orchards and to pick pumpkins! It is brisk and beautiful! The smells are wonderful and the colors are so vibrant! Aliya and Lilly came this year and Emma was a great big sister! She helped Aliya find the "perfect for her" pumpkin! And was so easy going ( even when we missed the first wagon ride!)! I am so amazed at how big she is getting and more important how kind and helpful she is becoming! I am so lucky to have such an amazing daughter(s)!

Pay back sucks!!

Dan as a child would throw up all the time! His family still talks about how if he didn't like it he could just throw it up( He can still do it! Crazy!)! So this morning Dan made breakfast! He loves to make breakfast on the weekends! Usually eggs and hashbrowns ( total cowboy breakfast!). So Dan says as he finishes breakfast, " Wow this is the best breakfast ever!!"! Five seconds later ( no joke!) Dallin throws up his whole breakfast into his lap! I was in the office so of course Dan starts yelling for me! I came in and saw it and could not stop laughing!!! Dallin said he didn't like the potatoes! Total pay back! I told him he should clean it up! ( yeah right!) So instead I told him he had to call his mother, and tell her sorry for all the times he had done this to her! She laughed! I guess Earl is right! Karma is important!!

*At 4:30pm*
Mom- "Let's go make dinner! Do you want to help me make dinner?"
Aliya- "No! It burn me!"
( No she has never been burned just lots of reminders!)
Mom- (Laughing) "No, it won't burn you! I won't let you get too close!"
Aliya- ( Not laughing) "Don't turn it on hot! OK??"
Mom- (Still laughing) "Deal!!"

*Bed time*
Dad- "Aliya are you going to bed?"
Aliya- "No!"
Dad- "What are you wearing?"
Aliya- " Pajama's silly!"
Dad- " Why?"
Aliya- "To go to bed crazy Daddy!"
Dad- " So are you going to bed?"
Aliya-" Yes!"
Dad- "So go get in bed!"
Aliya- " Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!"
Aliya wins again!

Global Warming!

Dan was telling me his brilliant plan to stop global warming! Everybody stop shaving!!! So think about it ( Ok not to hard!) If you stop shaving it will cut down on heating, which will cut costs on the power. And if you stop shaving one less trip to the store! ( except for all penny pinchers its like 20!) so less gas for our cars and less polution in the air! I told you Brilliant!!

Tradition!!!

The biggest Tradition everyone knows about us is Christmas Tree's! Daniel's family has had this tradition for at least three generations ( now four!)! They go into the woods in early fall and cut down thousands of different kinds of Christmas tree's to wholesale all over Montana, Idaho, and Utah! They litteraly walk and drive "Old Blue" ( The 1979 blue ford) all over mountian sides with chain saws. When they find the right look they cut it down! Then, they haul all the tree's back to a central point and then throw them up on a trailer! VERY physical! Some times it has already snowed! Which adds to the work!
I have done it to prove myslef when we were engaged. And then again after I had Dallin to prove to myslef I could still do it! When Dan and I were dating people would come up to him in the Branch and tell him about his Grandpa cutting Christmas tree's! Dan has always talked about taking Dallin when He was old enough and this was the year! Dallin had a great time bonding with his Dad and Papa Ed! And also adding to the memories of this tradition! Every year we have the most incredible Christmas tree! Dan usually go's out and picks ours out by the 1st of November! As you could probably guess Christmas is the time of year we can't wait for!!

Yummy!

Emma had gone over to a friends house to make Halloween treats! She had a great time and Loved the carmel apple they had made! Can you say Yummy!!

I love doing her hair!!

Emma is such a good sport when it comes to me doing her hair! She is very patient when I try to figure out what I am going to do! This day I just couldn't think( I hate those days!)! SO I started with a zigzag part. Than I did two Puffy braids ( rubber banding sections of hair together like a braid) while crossing each of them like an x down the back of her head. At the end I still wasn't feeling it. So I took the two end pony tails and added a rubber band two inches apart down until the end of the hair. I took that pony tail and wrapped it toward the front of her head and attached it to the very first rubberband in her hair with a bobby pin. I tucked the extra hair under the x on her head! And Voila! It looked great!!! Way more complex than it actually was! I did it again on Sunday and it took me 10min including combing her hair and getting it ( and her) really wet! Oh I love doing hair!

Too Tired!!

Lilly had been playing on the floor with Aliya and Emma. After they came downstairs I run up to check on her ( since the baby monitor was quiet!)! There she was fast asleep on the floor sucking her little thumb! She was so tired! I don't think she could have looked any sweeter!

Funny Doggy!!

I don't think most dogs sleep like this, but our Buddy sleeps upside down! Funny I know! The other night Dan and I were watching TV . I had just gone through some clothes a friend had given me ( hence the bags), and Buddy was sleeping on the floor next to the couch! I had to take some pictures becuase it was so funny!

Funny words!!

Have you ever laughed because of what your kids say, or had to write it down it was so funny!!! It seems like mine are doing it all the time! Like Aliya is saying to me right now, "Mom! I'm bout to poop in Daddy's office! I need to poop in the toilet!!" Than she just came in to say, "Mom my panties aren't wet. See? Touch em! Touch em! See not wet!" Ok so they are wet! Nice try!

All three of the older kids say funny stuff all the time!

Emma is a deep thinker! So some things you have to think about. These are some of her easy/ funny ones!

Emma- (Underneath Aliya's bed) " Liya, if you see something under your bed thats cute, and in a dress, don't worry! It's just me!"!

And on our way to the car passing the flower bed.

Mom-"Watch out for the bee's!"

Emma- " Wow look at all the bees! I saw the news, and they said all the bees were gone! But I guess they came back!"!

Aliya says stuff all the time! She is only two but has a vocabulary of an 8yr old!

Aliya "Mom don't worry! I not say Yilly( Lilly) stupid! Kay? I just call her baby! Kay?"

and

Aliya-" I want cheese. Get me cheese! Mom!! I WANT CHEESE!!! One, two, four, six, seven, nine! Right NOW! Fine I spank you! "

Mom- " Aliya! Stop! Just wait one minute. Be nice and say please!!!"

Aliya- "I sorry mom! I not spank you!"

Dallin on the other hand says things all the time where he thinks he is saying one thing and I think it means another! For example ( Please read the whole story before you freak out!!)

We were at lunch one day and I asked him how school was.

Dallin- "Ok. But some kids were touching themselves."

(I totally freaked out! A million things started running through my head like, really!?! He is only in 1st grade! I tried to calm myself down and kept repeating in my head, "Don't scare him"! I started to ask him questions.)

Mom-"Where does this happen? And who is doing this?!

Dallin "On the playground and in the bathroom. And some older kids and Joseph ( his best friend!)!"

(Finally I just asked him)

Mom-"Dallin are boys touching their privates?"

(Dallin looks at me with a weird look)

Dallin- "NO!"

( Ok Now I have the weird look!)

Mom- "Than what did you mean touching themselves? "

Dallin- "Well, Ms. Lyman said you have to keep your hands to yourselves and they didn't they they were touching themselves! ( meaning eachother!)

(Mom Trying to not laugh too hard in the resteraunt!!!)

Mom-"Thanks Dallin!"
